Moving home, seeking refuge, crossing borders and finding a sense of belonging are experiences that raise profound philosophical questions about identity, fairness, community and responsibility. Yet conversations about migration can also be emotionally charged and shaped by misconceptions, stereotypes and current events.
This webinar explores how philosophical enquiry can help primary teachers create safe, thoughtful spaces in which children can explore these issues with curiosity, empathy and critical thinking.
Through practical examples, engaging stimuli and facilitation strategies, participants will learn how to navigate sensitive conversations while encouraging children to question assumptions, consider multiple perspectives and reason together respectfully.
